GSPK Design’s Managing Director wins the Young Enterprise Gold Award for his long term service and support of Young Enterprise
Managing Director Paul Marsh, recently received the gold award from Julia Fallowfield, the Young Enterprise Area Manager for Yorkshire and Humber, to accolade his service towards helping young people to prepare for the business world that lies ahead. Mr Marsh has been supporting Young Enterprise for the last nine years and throughout that time he has been a judge, business advisor, mentor and now sits as the chairman of the North Yorkshire volunteer board.
Mr Marsh collected his award at the North Yorkshire and Humber Young Enterprise County finals, and commented, “I am extremely proud and grateful to have received this award and to be recognised for my support of Young Enterprise.”
Mr Marsh is passionate about ensuring students are ready to leave school with the right skills and understanding of the working world and he believes the Young Enterprise Company programme is a perfect way to help develop these enterprising and employability skills required. Young Enterprise continues to expand in North Yorkshire with the help from people like Mr Marsh, who continues to make sure students develop and benefit from their life skills learnt by partaking in the Young Enterprise company programme.
Mr Marsh continued to say, “I think the charity is fantastic and it provides a great opportunity for young adults, giving them a taste of real life business not only here in North Yorkshire but nationally.”
Every year Young Enterprise helps around quarter of a million young people from the ages of four to twenty-five to learn about business by being involved practically in industry like conditions. Young Enterprise is set up not too only prepare pupils to prepare for business but also to help their teamwork, self motivation and decision making skills. 5,000 volunteers are involved in to helping organise events and helping young people to prepare and begin their careers in industry.
