GSPK Design are delighted to announce that we have been nominated for a Partnership with the NHS award at the up and coming Yorkshire Medilink Awards which take place in Leeds on the 24th February. GSPK Design in partnership with Barnsley Hospital Assistive Technology (BHAT) ,the NIHR Devices for Dignity Healthcare Technology Co-operative (D4D) and Sheffield Hallam Teaching Hospital are developing a smart switch to help people who have acute brain injury or severe disabilities using tiny electrical signals produced by muscles (electromyography, EMG) to engage with their environment.

The partnership works extremely well with D4D bringing commercial knowledge and understanding of NHS pathways, BHAT bringing clinical expertise and understanding of market and GSPK Design bringing technical ability, product design and manufacturing capabilities. A win-win for all.
The awards ceremony takes place at the Royal Armouries in Leeds on the 24th February, fingers crossed!
